Self-leadership is the skill of deliberately taking charge of your brain and mind so you can effectively influence your thinking, feeling, and actions to more easily guide yourself through life’s inevitable challenges and achieve your objective. To succeed in any area of your life, it is necessary to learn how to master the center that directs who you are and what you do: your brain. The most effective way to thrive in life is to skillfully command your brain.

Learning practical skills to effectively guide your brain and mind and benefit from its beneficial results in daily life such as balance, aliveness, acumen, decisive decision making, better relationships, and well-being.

The brain is the command center of our being. As such, it creates all of our thoughts and feelings, motives, decisions and directs our performance. When we become skillful in leading this center, we can beneficially manage our lives. Thereafter, ineffective thought and behavior are replaced with new and useful habits of the mind, progressive behavior and well-being.

Why is the workshop done in eight sessions?

Because science has proven that brain function will improve most effectively through two steps: 

  1. Process: Learning new methods and tools
  2. Practice: Using them in daily of life so that the brain can learn new habits, and beneficially change its function and structure.

The Trust Effect

The key value to uphold in life is trust.

Self-confidence, reliance and good decisions are key to making progress in life and are the backbone of deeply trusting oneself. Trust is also the glue that binds relationships in a meaningful way, and our social brains need healthy connections to function optimally. While invisible, trust is this influential, potent, and yet delicate and fragile sense without which we will be challenged to make progress and maintain a healthy bond with ourselves and others.

The objective of this program is for you to learn the fundamentals and importance of trust, practical skills to develop self-trust, ability to build and maintain genuine trust with others, and how to repair broken trust and reestablish connection.  

While trust may seem like a moral idea, it actually originates in the brain via a neurochemical which regulates our decision to be either open and trusting or closed off and fearful. Learning to beneficially guide our brains allows it to function in a balanced way which will help us feel secure, more fully trust ourselves, our decisions, and others in our lives. And since we live in a social world in which our relationships profoundly impact our progress and well-being, our ability to build and maintain genuine trust becomes paramount.

Resilience Power

The skill that makes you win

Reaching our objectives requires more than just pushing toward goals. Since the brain naturally resists any attempt to change, we need a critical skill called resilience: the ability to effectively move through challenges, stress, self-doubt and frustration that our brains generate whenever we try to change and advance. Resilience Power allows you to quickly maneuver through challenges and setbacks, and continue on the path toward reaching your desired objectives. Without resilience, we try hard but make little, if any, progress.

In this program you will learn the skill of to become resilient, maintain a high-level of performance, and successfully lead yourself toward achieving what you truly want.

Since the brain is charged with protecting our survival, it inherently considers any attempt to change as a threat, and strongly resists it. This resistance creates stress, self-doubt, and frustration. We therefore lose motivation and give up, believing we just don’t have what it takes. This detrimental cycle will continue until we learn to become resilient: the skill to quickly move through challenges, bounce back from setbacks, and continue on the path toward reaching our objectives. Learning to beneficially guide our brains allows it to function in a balanced way which will help us feel secure, more fully trust ourselves, our decisions, and others in our lives.
